Recently, I heard the following statement, and I agree with it: “Bitterness is a place where we go to die.” I have also heard that some elected officials have been criticizing President-elect Donald Trump, adding that they would not attend the inauguration.

Well, fine, that just shows how much respect they have for the United States and the next president, who was elected by the people of this nation. Look at all the people who are trying to doom him before he is even president. I will remember that when it is time for the next election.

In my opinion, there has been only one other president who had to face such opposition — Abraham Lincoln — and he was one of the nation’s best presidents.

This country is in a terrible mess, but that is not Trump’s fault. I have heard that bitterness has been growing. Let’s forget our differences and get behind the new president and help him make this nation great again.

I suggest we start in our homes with husbands loving their wives and wives loving their husbands. Parents should love and teach their children to have respect for themselves and others. Pray for the families of America and the leadership of this country and the oneness of this nation.

Pray for God’s divine guidance in all things.

We have a choice.
