1938 – 2017
MEXICO — Marie Rose “Claudia” Marcellino, 78, passed away Sunday, Jan. 15, with her loving husband by her side.
She was born on March 31, 1938, in Lewiston, a daughter of Mugeutte LeVasseur Guay and attended local schools in Rumford, receiving her GED in 1978.
On Aug. 24, 1957, she married Robert Marcellino. They lived in California for many years where they raised their two daughters. They decided in 1974 to move back to Rumford and start their own business. They opened a neighborhood store & called it Bob’s Kwik Stop. Claudia became known as Mrs Bob’s Kwik Stop. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting, watching “all” sports with Bob, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Claudia is survived by her loving husband, Robert of 59 years; two daughters, Karen Gurschick and her husband, Kirby, Maria Merrill and her husband, Kerry; four grandchildren, Andrew Gurschick and his partner, Scott Kingan, Matthew Gurschick, Kassie Olver and her husband, Bill, Cory Merrill and his wife, Danielle; two great-grandchildren, Lilyahna Gurschick and Finley Merrill.
Claudia was predeceased by her six siblings, Gabrielle, Vivian, Roland, Paul, Gertrude and Reginald.
