There were nearly 100 entries for last week’s mystery photo with only one incorrect entry. In a random drawing of the correct responses, Ethyl Potvin of Mechanic Falls was chosen as the winner. In talking with her, she said “I used to go there all the time, back in the day, so I knew when I picked up the paper that it was the Blue Goose.” The Blue Goose Tavern, 69 Sabattus St., is a Lewiston landmark and frequented by generations of locals and Bates College students. Potvin will receive a $20 gift card, courtesy of Hannaford Supermarkets.
