I am writing to share how I feel about former President Barack Obama.
I think that he is a good and decent man. He has always done his best to work across party lines for the interests of all Americans and this country.
It is too bad that, from the start, Republicans refused to work with him. There is something very wrong with that picture. I feel that, whomever is president, when people agree to work together, much can be accomplished. That is what being the United States of America means.
Some people have said that Obama failed to unite the country. I know better.
I strongly feel that true unity is always the answer to accomplish anything. Sometimes, people in power spread negative propaganda to confuse and create fear in order to control the population and have their way.
We, as citizens of the United States, need to demand more of our representatives.
I would wish for Barack Obama to know that I appreciate all his efforts to serve this country to the best of his ability. For that, I thank him.
