Maine and New Hampshire are getting some light snow that created a slippery morning commute.

Unlike recent storms, the weather Wednesday that’s expected to drop 1 to 3 inches across Maine and New Hampshire features only fluffy snow, with no sleet, freezing rain, or rain.

Southernmost York County in Maine and New Hampshire’s Seacoast had seen about 2 inches by the morning. No major problems were reported.

National Weather Service meteorologist Tom Hawley says the forecast across the two states is uniform except in eastern Maine, which could see up to 5 inches of snow.

Wet conditions in New Hampshire slowed traffic on some stretches of Interstate 93 and caused at least one serious crash on Interstate 89. WMUR-TV reported nearly 200 schools in the state reported closings or delays.
