There are differences between conservatives and liberals. For instance, conservatives enforce the laws. If they don’t like them, they vote in people who will change them. Liberals — if they don’t like the laws, they ignore them and don’t enforce them.
To conservatives, illegal means “against the law.” For liberals, it depends on what the definition of “illegal” is.
A conservative may not agree with someone, but that someone has a right to disagree. If a liberal disagrees with you, you need to get with his program, or else.
Conservatives who get elected will say what they are going to do and then do it. Liberals say if a conservative gets elected they are going to leave the country. (They should keep their word; nobody will miss them).
Conservatives believe that if their candidate does not get elected, they will wait for four years and vote again. When a liberal does not get elected, other liberals will protest and cause unrest in the country.
I may not agree with my elected officials on everything, but everyone should agree that we live in the most free and prosperous nation in the world.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
You can read more here about our commenting policy and terms of use. More information is also found on our FAQs.
