LEWISTON — Lucille L. Terrio, 92, formerly of Chadbourne Road, died Friday, Feb. 10, with her family by her side at d’Youville Pavilion.
She was born in Lewiston, on March 31, 1924, the daughter of the late Joseph and Laure (Levesque) Lajoie. She graduated from Lewiston High School in 1942, and from the Acme Business College in 1944, having completed a Commercial Course.
She worked at the Lewiston City Hall as a bookkeeper in the treasurer’s office until 1954.
Lucille worked for St. Mary’s Federal Credit Union, Lewiston Municipal Worker’s Federal Credit Union. In 1966, she began working at the Sabattus Regional Credit Union for 35 years retiring in 1999. She was married to Clyde Terrio on Sept. 5, 1954. She was a member Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Sabattus, active in the parish Women’s Club, and in fund raising events for Holy Rosary School. She enjoyed a once in a lifetime trip to Europe with her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Attila Ourban, traveling to Romania, Hungary and Australia.
She is survived by four children, Monique of Malden, Mass., Lisa and her husband, Attila Ourban of Plaistow, N.H., Mark of Lewiston and Eric of Lewiston; three grandchildren, Katalin Ouban, Elizabeth Ourban and Alexander Terrio; one sister, Florence Potvin; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Clyde; two sisters, Jeanne Boucher and Denise Lajoie; five brothers, Antonio, Lucien, Gerard, Laureat and Paul Lajoie.
