Sleigh riders visit draft horses in between trips during last year’s World’s Greatest Sleigh Rides. The rides will resume during the 24th annual ride from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, at 400 Main St. in Lisbon Falls. There will be horses, mules and minis with sleighs giving rides through fields and woods. The event is sponsored by the Pejepscot Sno-Chiefs Snowmobile Club and Farmer’s Draft Horse Mule and Pony Club. This is a charity event for Pine Tree Society’s Campership Fund. The cost to attend is $5 for adults and $3 for children. The snack shack will be open with homemade goods, including donuts. FMI: pinetreesociety.org

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
