Oof. It’s been a hard week to be a mailbox. And a mailbox owner.
The snow storms are bad enough. Add in the effects of plowing, and the simple act of getting your mail has quickly become a massive headache. In some cases a mangled or missing mess.
We want to hear your story, and see your pics, about how you’re dealing with the snow and any mailbox mishaps. Have you had to go without mail? Had to get inventive? Just plain had enough?
Send your story, hometown and contact information to staff writer Kathryn Skelton at 689-2844 or [email protected]

Christian Snyder wipes the snow off his mailbox, which was taken out by a snowplow along Sawyer Road in Greene on Thursday.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
