Lewiston Auburn Children Foundation awards Sherwood Heights grant for Happy Birthday Book Cart program

Lucy Bisson, left, Lewiston Auburn Children Foundation member, presents Shawna Haley-Bear, Sherwood Heights Elementary School librarian, with a check for $500 that will support the Happy Birthday Book Cart program. Pre-kindergarten through grade six pupils at the Auburn school can choose one free book each year on their birthday. The program encourages and celebrates reading, and family and school involvement.
