I am simply amazed at the nerve of government officials in relation to fentanyl laws. State officials talk about fentanyl and how it is killing a lot of people. What they fail to do is distinguish between the fentanyl patch for medical patients who use it and the fentanyl that other people are using and dying as a result of overdoses.

With all the stories about people dying from fentanyl, the government has put out a bunch of rules that have cut the availability of medical fentanyl for people who really need it. There are many people who use the fentanyl patch for pain control.

There are many different kinds of fentanyl, with different mixes that use different methods of medication release. There is a gel in an unbreakable unit that is put on the outer skin for several days, then changed. There is also a dry fentanyl, the consistency of flour.

The new rules make the medical field look foolish (I could use a better word — stupid), as well as hurting people who need the correct dosage. How does the government (DHHS) know what each person needs? They don’t, and they should clear things up for the public.

Those government officials are acting like they are God.
