‘Essentials of College Planning’

WILTON — The Maine Educational Opportunity Center will host a free workshop, “Essentials of College Planning,” for adults 19 and older at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 16, at the Wilton CareerCenter, 865 U.S. Route 2 East.

This workshop will introduce people to educational opportunities in general and MEOC services in particular. This interactive workshop touches on the four steps in the college process: admissions, financial aid, career and study skills.

The Financial Aid portion of this workshop will provide an overview of financial basics and the completion of the Free Application of Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Legion seeks sale vendors

PARIS — Post No. 72, American Legion, is seeking vendors for a yard sale planned from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 18, on Church Street.

The lunch counter will be open, and there will be a 50/50.

Daughters of Isabella scholarship

RUMFORD — St. Timothy’s Circle No. 504, Daughters of Isabella, are accepting applications for its 2017 Scholarship.

Scholarships are opened to qualified high school seniors who are active in their Catholic faith and living its virtues of faith, hope and charity.

All applicants must be an active member of the Holy Savior Parish or be a child or grandchild of an active member of the Daughters of Isabella, St Timothy’s Circle No. 504.
