LEWISTON — Muguette G. Ouellette, 90, known to many as “Mugsy,” formerly of Montello Heights died Monday, Feb. 27,  at the Marshwood Nursing Home, where she had been a resident for the past year.

Born in Lewiston on Nov. 20, 1926, she was the daughter of Henry and Anita Berube Girouard. Educated in local schools, she was a graduate of Lewiston High School. A dedicated homemaker and mother, in her younger years she enjoyed tennis, swimming and cross-country skiing, and also loved to play cards with family and friends. A member of the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, Prince of Peace Parish.

She is survived by a son, Thomas N. Ouellette of Auburn; a daughter, Suzanne Perreault of Lewiston; five grandchildren, Jacob Ouellette and wife, Eileen, of Windham, Kristen and husband, Shigeru Watanabe, of Billerica, Mass., Allison Lavoie of Goffstown, N.H., Eric Perreault and wife, Cheryl, of Ormond Beach, Fla., and Melanie and husband, Tim LeBoeuf of Webster, Mass.; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Fern Girouard; and her former husband, Noel T. Ouellette.

The family would like to thank the staffs of Montello, Marshwood and Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice for all the loving care they gave Muguette.
