Howard Gooldrup, left, commander of VFW Post​ 1603 in Auburn, recently presented plaques recognizing fundraising efforts by two Auburn Burger King stores. The Veterans of Foreign Wars national headquarters in Kansas City, Missouri, presented plaques to those two stores and other Burger Kings in the United States in recognition for raising more than $1 million to date to help veterans and their families. Gooldrup presented the plaque to Heather Thibodeau, center, manager of the Burger King on Center Street, Auburn, with District 9 Cmdr. Craig Dufour assisting.
