SOUTH PARIS — George Woodbury May Jr., 59, of South Paris passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 7.
He was born in Norway, on Sept. 4, 1957, to parents George and Theresa (Paré) May Sr.
For many years, George worked as an auto mechanic at Ripley and Fletcher. He also was a machinist for CB Cummins.
George enjoyed helping people, and was the go to mechanic for half the town. He also enjoyed making puzzles, watching wrestling and more recently the cooking channel on TV.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years this May 29, Merry; his son, John; daughter, Kayla; two sisters, Esther and Estelle; his father, George Sr.; and his beloved pets.
Predeceased by him were an infant son, Travis; his mother; and a son, Jim Knowlton.
