LEWISTON — Joline Claudette Nash, 55, a resident of Howe Street, passed away Friday, March 10, at her residence.
She was born in Lewiston on April 12, 1961, the daughter of Laurier and Doris (Robitaille) Mathieu.
She attained her GED from Lewiston High School in the early 1980s. At that time, she was active in Girl Scouts, volunteering her time to help with their events. She was employed in the local shoe industry and Poland Spring bottling plant.
Joline took up bowling and would go with her mom on many occasions. She joined a pottery class with her mom and made many nice pieces. She also learned to crochet from her Aunt Rita and found much enjoyment for the rest of her life. She made many afghans to donate to Goodwill and the Salvation Army, and local animal shelters.
Survivors include a daughter, Regina Nash; and her siblings, Gerald, Victor, Roger and Julie.
She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
