AUBURN — Irene L. Thibodeau, 92, of 440 Minot Ave., Auburn, died on Wednesday, March 15, at Clover Manor Health Care Facility surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Lewiston, on July 15, 1924, the daughter of the late Lucien and Alvine (Landry) Rancourt and had been a resident of this community all of her life.

She was married to Roger C. Thibodeau in June 1947; and he died on August 15, 1981.

She was employed for many years as a receptionist for DHHS in Lewiston.

Irene enjoyed music, dancing, cooking, traveling, entertaining her family and friends, especially social events in her backyard. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Holy Cross Senior Citizens, Horizon 55 and a parishioner of Holy Cross Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Nancy Pelletier and her husband, Richard, of Lewiston, Eileen Dennis and her husband, Daniel, of Lewiston and Carol Whaley and husband, Darren, of Auburn; one son, David Thibodeau and his companion, Claire Lavoie-Morgan, of Lewiston; three sisters, Jacqueline Lafayette of Anaheim, Calif., Vivian Delcourt of Auburn and Lorraine Belanger and her husband, Gerard, of Lewiston; one brother, Maurice Rancourt and his wife, Julie, of Lauderdale Lakes, Fla.; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a grandson, Logan Pleau-Frangoulis; a daughter-in-law, Cindy Thibodeau; one brother, Robert Rancourt; and two sisters, Gertrude Lang and Constance Limoseth.
