Neighborhood Watch meeting Thursday

AUBURN — A Neighborhood Watch Group meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 23, at the Sixth Street Congregational Church.

LITCHFIELD — Smithfield Plantation Board of Directors meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, at the Litchfield Town Office.

Androscoggin Retired Educators meeting

AUBURN — The Androscoggin Retired Educators will meet at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 12, at the Park Avenue Methodist Church on Park Avenue.

Guest speakers for this meeting are authors John Ford and Mike Nickerson.

Lunch will be served by ladies of the church. The cost of the meal is $11.

Members are reminded to bring a non-perishable food item, which will be donated to a local food pantry.

Androscoggin Retired Educators meet five times per year in September, October, November, March and April. Dues are $10 for retired educators, $6 for spouses, and free for honorary members, those aged 85 and older. Members need not have taught in Androscoggin County or even in the State of Maine. All retired educators are welcome.

Reservations must be made by Thursday, April 6, by mailing payment to Bruce and Beth Bell, 138 Sunderland Drive, Auburn, ME 04210.

Cribbage league lists winners

LEWISTON — Lewiston Senior Citizens Cribbage League winners on March 16 were, first place, Maurice Gagne and Sandra Oliver; second, Val Asselin and Roger Labbe; third, Don Haley and Fran St. Pierre; fourth, Leo Bergeron and Diane Torres; and, fifth, Bob Allen and Dick Saucier.

The Seniors play on Thursdays at the Lewiston Memorial Armory.
