LEWISTON — Cynthia Camille (Bernier) Faulk, 68, of North Jay died peacefully at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center on Friday, March 17, following a brief illness.

She was born to Rene Alphonse and Rita Dolores (Cyr) Bernier on Jan. 10, 1949, in Lewiston. Cindy graduated from St. Petersburg High School in St. Petersburg, Fla., in 1968, and earned her respiratory therapist certificate through coursework over several years.

Cindy’s most recent work assignment was that of a traveling respiratory therapist. Some of her more memorable assignments were St. Luis Obispo, Calif., Baltimore, Md., and Swampscott, Mass. Prior to being a traveling therapist, Cindy worked locally at St. Mary’s in Lewiston and at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bangor.

Cindy recently moved to Jay from Mars Hill with her loving companion, Albert Ricci. Cindy and Al bought a beautiful ranch-style home in North Jay, where they planned to live out their retirement and be closer to her family.

She was an avid reader and was exceptional with trivia. Cindy enjoyed reading online articles and publications. She especially enjoyed medical research and was fascinated at how much information was available through the worldwide web.

Cindy is survived by her companion, Albert Ricci; her brother, Marc Bernier and companion, Marianne Snow of Auburn; sister, Tina and Andrew Bisson of Topsham; brother, Robert and Diana Bernier of Auburn; sister, Patricia and Robert Bolduc of Wales; and brother, Paul and Denise Bernier of Colorado Springs, Colo.

She was predeceased by immediate family members; father, Rene Bernier, mother, Rita Eldredge, and stepfather, Robert Eldredge.
