LEWISTON — Claire J. Gagnon, 59, of 49 Third St., Auburn, died Thursday, March 23, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, following a long illness.
Born in Lewiston on Oct. 5, 1957, she was the daughter of Leo and Marietta Ruel Turgeon. Educated in local schools, she was a graduate of Lewiston High School. She worked in offices of Lamey-Wellehan for many years, retiring due to illness in 2010. She loved crafts and had a collection of angels, but her greatest joy came from time spent with her family. She was a member of Holy Family Church, Prince of Peace Parish,
She is survived by a son, James and wife, Gerry, of Auburn; a daughter, Ashley and husband, Scott Doughty, of Lewiston; two brothers, Paul and wife, Barbara Turgeon, of Turner, and Louis and wife, Marti Turgeon, of Walls, Miss.; a sister, Suzanne Gagnon, of Auburn; and six grandchildren, Gwenneth, Olivia, Sarah, Anthony, Charlie and Kayden.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Claude and Pierre; a sister, Rachel Turgeon; and a granddaughter, Chloe.
