WEST PARIS — Sandra Patricia Sande, 63, of West Paris, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 21, at her residence after a lengthy illness.

Sandra was born in Quincy, Mass., on Oct. 7, 1953, a daughter of Eino and Irma M. (Aho) Hirvonen. She attended Quincy schools and graduated from Marshfield High School.

Sandra had worked client care at Landmark in Norway for several years. She had also previously worked at the local shoe shop in Norway as well as other odd jobs. Before moving to Maine from Massachusetts in 1985, she attended culinary arts school and worked as a chef at the Halifax Country Club in Halifax, Mass., for a number of years.

She leaves behind a son, Jesiah Sande, and his girlfriend, Jessica Boyd, of West Paris; a sister, Marie Shepherd, of Chicago, Ill.; as well as aunts, nieces and nephews.

Sandra is predeceased by her parents; her husband, Bob Sande; a son, Joshua Caine Sande; and a sister, Barbara Irene Sealund.
