WELD — Richard Doughty was elected to the Board of Selectmen in Wednesday’s special election.

Doughty was the only candidate in the election held to replace Douglas Voter who resigned earlier this month. Of the 39 votes cast, Doughty received 33. Henry Coval Conant received five write-in votes. Stanley Wilcox received one.
