ST. CLOUD, FLA. — Rita M. Boucher, 96, of St. Cloud, Fla., formerly of Livermore Falls, died, Saturday, April 1, at the Plantation Bay Rehabilitation Center in St. Cloud, Fla.
She was born Feb. 3, 1921, in Livermore Falls, the daughter of Joseph H. Letalien and Marie Anne (Gilbert) Letalien. She attended Sacred Heart Convent and was a graduate of St. Rose of Lima School. On April 17, 1939, in Jay, she married Joseph “Henry” Boucher. He passed away March 31, 1990.
Rita was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay, and St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in St. Cloud, Fla. She was a former member of Ladies of St. Ann, St. Jean Baptist, Daughters of Isabella and Jay/Livermore Falls Senior Citizens. Rita worked through the years at Norwalk Shoe in North Jay. She later relocated to Florida where she lived with her son, Bernard, and his wife, Jacqueline. She was a Pink Lady for 12 years and served as a Eucharistic minister.
Rita is survived by her two sons, Bernard Boucher and his wife, Jacqueline, of St. Cloud, Fla., and Paul Boucher and his wife, Claire, of Saco and Florida; two daughters, Bernice Adams and her husband, Will, of Livermore Falls, and Betty Plaisted and her husband, George, of Jay and Florida; 14 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Henry Boucher; her daughter and son-in-law, Emelda and Charles Miller Jr.; granddaughter, Mona Jean Miller; her grandson, Mark Adams; and great-great-grandson, Steve Adams.
