RUMFORD — Yvette A. Poirier, 85, formerly of Holman Road, Dixfield, went to be with her loving husband, Leon, on Monday, April 3.
She was born in Jay, a daughter of Henry and Rosa (Brochu) Roy. Yvette was a graduate of Stephens High School, Class of 1949. She married Leon Poirier on Aug. 24, 1957. Together, they celebrated 59 years of marriage. He passed away Oct. 15, 2016.
Yvette was employed at J.J. Newberry’s for 20 years. She was a communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior. Yvette enjoyed sewing.
Surviving is her son, Mark Poirier and wife, Amy, of Washington; and two grandchildren.
Yvette was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Leon.
