LEWISTON — Lewiston Adult Education students will put their skills to the test in an upcoming comedy show at Guthries.

They are members of the Standup Comedy Workshop class taught by professional comic Harold “Tuck” Tucker. The show is taking the place of a final exam.

Students have worked for weeks to improve their jokes and develop their individual voices. They perform in every class, with Tucker providing feedback about their setup of material to delivery.

Their performances begin at 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 10, at Guthries, 115 Middle St. There is no admission charge.

The show marks the second year in which Guthries has partnered with Lewiston Adult Education to showcase student talent.

Lewiston Adult Education students in the Standup Comedy Workshop will perform at Guthries Restaurant & Café on Monday, April 10. Front row, from left, are Crystal Bernard, Drew Bertelsen, Brian Collins, Jenny Oswald. In back,  instructor Harold “Tuck” Tucker, Nick Gordon, Angela Merrill, Audra Welton and Shawn Howe.
