AUBURN — The Edward Little High School One-Act Team will perform the “The Ninth Train,” written by Jim and Jane Jeffries, on Wednesday, April 12, 7 p.m. at the Great Falls Performing Arts Center, 30 Academy St.

The play takes place at the home of the Sterns, a Jewish family living in Prague in the months before the German occupation in 1939.  When efforts to get visas to exit Czechoslovakia are exhausted, the family must make a difficult decision to allow just their younger children to escape on a train to Holland, where they would be transported by boat to England and taken in by English families.

This talented group of students recently performed this show at the Regional One-Act Festival in Skowhegan where they received a standing ovation and many well  deserved awards.

The cast includes David Ballard, Isabel Bassett, Evy Bilodeau, Dominique Cyr, Maxwell Draper, Olivia DuBois, Devki Gelder, Abby Hart, Danica Hemond, Mason Lagasse, Eli Latham, Katie Luu, Sophie Mailhot, Sophie Messina, Dylan Miller, Sam Morrison, Gabe Sears, Carter Shaw, Aidan Peck, Annabelle Pendleton and Sophie Wood.  Technical crew comprises Maureen Brann, Zachary Gagne, Katherine Gilpatrick, Melissa Pawlina, Kaleb Perry and Jordan Reynolds.

There is no admission,  but donations will be gladly accepted.
