AUBURN — Yvette I. Elliott, 89, of 440 Minot Avenue, Auburn, died Thursday, April 6, at Clover Manor Health Care Facility with her loving family by her side following a long illness.
She was born in Lewiston, on November 1, 1927, the daughter of Thomas and Amanda Charest. She attended Holy Family school and church and graduated from Lewiston High School in the Class of 1946. She was employed as a secretary/receptionist for Dr. Samuel Alpren optometrist in Lewiston.
In 1954, she met and married Robert W. Elliott Jr. of Buskirk, N.Y. While residing in Sidney, N.Y., she was employed for several years as a teller and in the accounting department of the First National Bank of Sidney. After 30 years living in New York State, they returned to Maine and settled in Litchfield at Tacoma Lakes and Buker Pond.
Yvette’s favorite hobbies were golf and ceramics.
Yvette and her husband have two sons, Gary T. Elliott of Portland and Scott R. Elliott of Cleveland, Ohio.
Survivors include son, Gary and his wife, Dorene, and their two daughters, Meghan and Kaitlin; a son, Scott and wife, Jamie, and their two daughters, Ashley and Lauren and their son, Nicholas; one sister, Rita LePage of Vero Beach, Fla.; two brothers, Rosaire and wife, Claudette, of Lewiston and Fernand and wife, Jackie, of Lewiston.
Yvette will be greatly missed by her husband, sons, family and friends.
