Legislation to allow motorists to make a left turn when they are stopped at a red light has recently been proposed in Augusta. The objective is to save time and money, i.e. gasoline.

That is a totally stupid idea and a waste of the Legislature’s time.

Legislators should be reminded that “Turn right on red, go ahead. Turn left on red, you are dead.”
