The parade will start at 10 a.m. with the parade route as follows: Leave the staging area in front of the American Legion Post on Congress Street across from Rite-Aid, then proceed right onto Portland Street across the Memorial Bridge to the Rotary Green for a brief ceremony. From there, the parade will proceed down Rumford Avenue, turn left onto Waldo Street, turn right onto Lincoln Avenue through downtown Mexico and proceed to the Veterans Memorial Green in Mexico for a brief ceremony.
Immediately following the parade, American Legion Post 24 will host an open house with refreshments for the children that participated in the parade. For the adults who participated in the parade, refreshments will be served at the VFW Hall on Waldo Street.
The American Legion Post 24 is looking for military vehicles to be in the parade.
