If President Donald Trump truly cares about the plight of the Syrian people, he would lift the Muslim travel ban or come up with a better plan to help the people of Syria.
If Maine Gov. Paul LePage truly cares about the plight of Mainers, he would approve the Democrats’ new budget, which decreases property taxes for the middle class, instead of holding fast to his own scheme, which only benefits the wealthy.
Both politicians freely promise, but actually act against those promises.
If the minority president and the minority governor won’t do the right thing for those who need it, then the people must be the ones to stand with those in need, and make their voices heard for those who can’t speak for themselves.
