John Williams delivered the message on farmland owned by George and Mary Buker, who have hosted Easter sunrise service for over 30 years. Following the service, a breakfast and traditional Easter service was held at the church, the oldest church in Lewiston-Auburn, said church moderator Bill Hiss. 

George and Mary Buker attend the Easter sunrise service on Hersey Hill on Sunday. The Buker family has hosted the service for over 30 years. George Buker said that the year-round cross that sits on his farm has been replaced twice due to the weather. He has been a member of the West Auburn Congregational Church for 64 years.
