NORWAY —  This year’s kick-off Norway Arts Festival event will be an exhibit of artwork “inspired by Duncan E. Slade.” From June 2 through 4, the Matolcsy Art Center on Main Street in Norway will host an exhibit and sale of paintings, including an original by Slade himself. Artists are invited to contribute “inspired by Duncan Slade” works for this show.

The Norway Arts Festival also invites plein air painters to set up and work in downtown Norway during the Arts Festival on July 8, while Main Street is open for pedestrians only. Exhibition space will be provided to participating painters.

And finally, the Norway Arts Festival offers exhibition space on Main Street for artists and artisans on Saturday, July 8. A  10-by-10 foot space will be provided on Main Street to each artist. Registrations are now being accepted.

The Norway Arts Festival is sponsored by the Western Maine Art Group and Norway Downtown.
