LEWISTON — Lewiston Public Schools is holding kindergarten registration for the 2017-2018 school year.
Registration will take place during the week of May 15. Parents and guardians must make an appointment with their child’s district-appropriate school, which is listed on the department’s website.
Farwell Elementary School: 207-795-4110.
Raymond A. Geiger Elementary School: 207-795-4160.
Governor James B. Longley Elementary School: 207-795-4120.
Martel School: 207-795-4130.
Thomas J. McMahon Elementary School: 207-795-4140.
Montello School: 207-795-4150.
At registration, parents and guardians will need to show:
• Official birth certificate (child must be 5 by Oct. 15, 2017);
• I-94 or green card if child was not born in the U.S.;
• Immunization records; and
• Proof of residency such as parent’s or guardian’s driver’s license with school appropriate address, lease or rent agreement, utility bills or mortgage agreement.
Students attending Pre-K in Lewiston Public Schools do not have to register for kindergarten.
The child does not need to be present at registration. Appointment for the child’s screening will be made at the beginning of the school year.
