LEWISTON — Yvette G. Aube, 79, of Lewiston, passed away on Good Friday, April 14, at Central Maine Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born at St. Gedeon, Quebec, Canada, on March 5, 1938, the daughter of the late Gedeon and Clementine (Delaire) Poulin. She came to the United States at the age of 6, attended local schools and graduated from Lewiston High School Adult Education in 1984 with her daughter, Dee-Dee.

She worked in various local shoe factories and retired from Pioneer Plastics in 2000. Mom loved singing with daddy and their children, dancing, shuffle bowling, and she was an active member and the vice president of the 20M Social Club. She loved entertaining in earlier years and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved her seafood and going to the ocean and also enjoyed watching her son, John, play hockey throughout his life.

Later in her life she thoroughly enjoyed watching NASCAR and the New England Patriots.

She is survived by her four daughters, Susan Dube and her husband, Dan Myrand, Debbie Aube and her fur baby, Idgy, Brenda Aube, and Sandra (Dee-Dee) Aube-Wing and husband, Jeffrey Wing; also, her one and only son, John Robert Aube, her caregiver; seven grandchildren, Adam and Evan Dube, Emmy Letourneau and Jessie Sousa, Ashley Aube and Daniel Chamberland and Chelsea Aube; six great-grandchildren, Dalila and Carter Dube, Gisele and Calvin Cologna, Alyssa Chamberland and Zoeana (Zoe) Plourde, whom she baby-sat and helped raise as one of her own; two sisters, Lorraine Lemay and Candide Rodrigue; she also had six step-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Jacqueline Roy, two brothers, Clermont Poulin and Gil Poulin.

She will be so missed and never forgotten by her children and grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff in ICU at CMMC, especially our little friend, Jaclyn Masters.
