LEWISTON — Albert Norman Theberge, better known as Norman, 80, passed away peacefully due to complications of Alzheimer’s with his loving family by his side Monday, April 24, at d’Youville Pavilion in Lewiston.

He was born in Auburn on Aug. 27, 1936, the son of the late Michael and Anna (Bard) Theberge.

Norman was educated in the Auburn school system, later joining the U.S. Army, serving six years. During his service, he met the love of his life, Erika Brand, and they married while stationed in Germany. Together, they shared a loving marriage of over 58 years. He retired from Philips Elmet. Norman enjoyed the outdoors, exploring the wilderness, fishing and gardening, and he was an accomplished hobbyist carpenter, building many projects that will remain in the family for years as a tribute to his lasting memory.

Norman is survived by his wife; his sons, John, Alan and Mark; his daughter, Lorraine Patriarca, and her husband, Thomas; his two grandsons, Benjamin and Nathaniel Theberge; his two granddaughters, Erika Thomas and Andrea Forster; his two great-grandchildren, Sindel Theberge and Zachary Thomas; and his sister, Gertrude Parkhurst.

He was predeceased by his parents, three sisters and four brothers.
