LISBON — The Lisbon Parks and Recreation Department will be holding its annual fishing derby on Saturday, May 6. Derby fishing time is from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on the middle pond at Beaver Park. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. at the beach area.

The derby is open to participants ages 1-15. Any parent helping a child must hold a valid Maine fishing license. Derby participation is free as is park entrance for participants that morning. All participants receive a medal and other prizes will be drawn raffle style.

Families have enjoyed this event for many years as an annual outing. The event will be held rain or shine. Beaver Park is at 37 Cotton Road, Lisbon.
