LISBON — Police are looking for a suspect who broke into a Lisbon Street apartment and threatened the residents with a firearm Wednesday morning.

Lisbon police say they arrived at 374 Lisbon St. after 12:33 a.m. and a male ran out the back door into the woods. They identified the suspect as David C. Farnum, 23, of Lisbon, according to a statement from Lisbon police Sgt. Ryan McGee. The victims and suspect are known to each other, and there were no injuries reported.

Farnum is described as 5’ 9”, 175 pounds with blond hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a black sweater and jeans, according to the statement.

The Lisbon Police Department has an active arrest warrant for Farnum on the charges of burglary and two counts of criminal threatening with a firearm.

The Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Department, Sabattus Police Department and Freeport Police Department assisted in the search.

Police say Farnum may be in the Lewiston vicinity but do not believe there is a direct threat to the general public.

The Lisbon Police Department asks anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Farnum to contact them.
