GARDINER — Maine Event Comedy presents Funniest Comic in New England finalist, Kyron Hobdy, at Gardiner’s Johnson Hall, 280 Water St. at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 13. Doors will open at 7 p.m. The show will also feature Josh Ramirez, James Spizuoco, and host, Mark Turcotte.
 
Hobdy, a Windham resident, was a recent selection to the World Series of Comedy in Las Vegas. He’s performed at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion, and the legendary Nick’s Comedy Stop in Boston. He regularly works with Maine comedy legend Bob Marley.
 
Ramirez hails from Worcester, Mass. and began his comedy career in 2008. He quickly established himself as a favorite throughout New England. He performs regularly at the Comedy Studio, Comedy Connection, Catch a Rising Star, and colleges. Ramirez takes pride in his writing and strives to educate as well as entertain.
 
Spizuoco is a member of the Portland Comedy Co-op and performs throughout New England. Turcotte was a recent selection at the Boston, Cleveland, and North Carolina comedy festivals.
 
Tickets are $16 for adults and $14 for seniors.
 
The show is for ages 21 and older.
