LOWELL, Mass. — Evelyn L. Levasseur, 88, of Lisbon Falls passed away Thursday, May 4, at Fairhaven Health Care Center in Lowell, Mass.
She was born in Lewiston on March 7, 1929, a daughter of the late Edward and Angelina (Boutelle) Woodhead. On June 30, 1962, she married Leo Levasseur and together they worked and raised their family in the Lewiston and Lisbon Falls areas. She spent a great deal of her working life in the offices at Bates Mill Manufacturing and L.L.Bean. She was a member of the former St. Patrick’s Parish in Lewiston. She enjoyed reading, walking, socializing, traveling and loved experiencing new things. She had a wonderful, loving relationship with her granddaughters and enjoyed the time spent with them immensely.
Evelyn is survived by her two daughters, Marla Bonneau and husband, Ronald, of Scarborough, Kara Wheeler and husband, Adam, of Tyngsborough, Mass.; three sisters, Lorraine Conant, Marilyn Watrus, Rosalie Lovelace; one brother: William Woodhead; and two granddaughters, Catelyn and Alexis Wheeler.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Leo, who passed away in 2005; her siblings, Loretta Cloutier, Nancy Allen, Leona, Francis, Howard, Edward, Richard and Lawrence Woodhead.
