LEWISTON — A Mass of Christian burial for Therese G. Fournier and Alfred Y. Theriault were jointly celebrated Friday, May 5, by the Rev. Timothy Nadeau at Holy Family Church of the Prince of Peace Parish.
At the beginning of Mass, the children of both Therese Fournier and Alfred Theriault placed a white burial pall on their parents’ caskets signifying their parents’ baptism into a new spiritual life with God.
During Mass, Diane Therrien who was Terry and Fred’s niece, proclaimed a New Testament reading. The prayer of the faithful was recited by Christine Fournier, who was Fred’s niece and Terry’s daughter-in-law.
Following a funeral procession to St. Peter’s Cemetery, the Rev. Nadeau recited committal prayers for Terry and Fred.
Pallbearers for Therese were Marco Giancotti Jr., Daniel and Tom Fournier, Patrick and Michael Theriault and Mark Bonin. The pallbearers for Alfred were John and Jake Nason, Kyle, Joey and Ryan Theriault and Christian Burgiel.
