DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Joseph Robert “Bob” Martin, 76, of Port Orange, Fla., passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 15, in Daytona Beach, Fla. He had been courageously battling leukemia since being diagnosed with the disease in mid 2016.

Bob was born in Frenchville on Sept. 9, 1940, to the late Louis Philip and Claire Marie Martin. He grew up in Fort Kent and served honorably in the U.S. Army before graduating from the UCONN School of Pharmacy. He then ran his own pharmacy for many years in Fort Kent before moving to the Lewiston/Auburn area, where he was also a respected pharmacist until his retirement. He met his wife, Natalia, shortly after retiring to Florida where they spent many happy years together.

He is survived by his wife Natalia, of Port Orange; sisters, Phyllis Mullins of Grayson, Ky., and Susan Osgood of Carroll Plt; brother, Peter Martin of Ocala, Fla.; daughter, Kimberly A. Foss of Seabrook, N.H.; son, Jason of Old Orchard Beach; grandchildren, Catherine, Kevin and Ava; and a great-grandchild, Kaiden.

He will be missed very much.

Joseph R. “Bob” Martin
