LEWISTON — Lewiston Planning Board meeting, 5:30 p.m. in the City Council chambers at City Hall. 

LEWISTON — Lewiston School Committee, regular meeting, 6 p.m., Dingley Building. On agenda: Approving new school construction bid, authorizing Superintendent Bill Webster to sign construction contract and video options to record School Committee meetings.

TUESDAY, May 9

LEWISTON — Lewiston School Budget validation referendum, voting on Lewiston school budget for 2017-18 at Longley Elementary School. Polls open at 7 a.m., close at 8 p.m.

LEWISTON — Lewiston City Council meeting, 7 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall. Agenda includes approving final adjustments to the fiscal 2017-18 municipal budget.

WEDNESDAY, May 10

AUBURN — Auburn School Committee holding special workshop to discuss feedback on half-day Wednesdays for grades seven-12, 6 p.m., Council Chambers, Auburn Hall.

THURSDAY, May 11

LEWISTON — Central Maine Community College graduation ceremony, 6 p.m.,  Androscoggin Bank Colisee, 190 Birch St. Keynote speaker is Auburn Mayor Jonathan LaBonte. Graduates this year are expected to number about 550.

AUBURN — Auburn Public Library will host authors, historians and veterans, who will lead discussions about veteran affairs and encourage dialogue with audience members. Program from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Auburn Public Library, with Rob Reilly of Camp Kieve veterans camp, who will show the film, “Fort Bliss.”
