
The Auburn Middle School Drama Club will stage William Shakespeare’s “Macbeth” on May 18, 19 and 20 at the school, 38 Falcon Drive. “Macbeth” is Shakespeare’s famous tale of ambition leading to the tragic downfall of a hero. Tricked by witches and encouraged by his wife, Macbeth murders his king and takes the throne of Scotland. The rightful heir, Malcolm, returns to reclaim his crown. “Macbeth” provides lots of action, magic and intrigue. It is directed by Jennifer Little and Peter Robinson. Performances are at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 18; 7 p.m. Friday, May 19; and 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday, May 20.
