LEWISTON — Carol A. Bouvier, 76, passed away Sunday, May 7, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

She was born in Boston, Mass., on Dec. 24, 1940, the daughter of the late James and Dorothy (Kenney) Downey. Carol was a devout Catholic and had resided in Maine for 49 years.

She married the love of her life, Zephyr Bouvier, and they shared a loving marriage of 58 years, until his passing in 2016. Carol waitressed at Daddy’s Diner in Sabattus and Zephyr was the cook. The two of them always liked to go camping together, where they would go boating and fishing.

She was a member of the Pine Tree Gypsies Camping Club. Carol had a tremendous love of oil painting and enjoyed teaching others. She liked to spend time gardening and admiring nature.

Carol is survived by her two sons, Brian Bouvier of Sabattus and Dale Bouvier and his wife, Gail, of Lisbon; her sister, Ellie Brown of Sabattus; her two grandchildren, Timothy and Cody Bouvier; and many nieces and nephews.
