RUMFORD — The Rumford grange will serve casserole supper from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 13, at 125 North Broadway.

A 50/50 drawing will be held.

OTISFIELD — There will be a community lunch from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, at the Community Hall on Route 121.

NORWAY — Second Congregational Church of Norway will serve a community supper from 5 to 6 p.m. on the third Friday of the month except August.

RUMFORD — The American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 24 will serve a barbecue from 12 to 6 p.m. Friday, May 19, at Legion Post No. 24, 184 Congress St.

Vern Marden will be the barbecue chef, and the event will be open to the public.

Proceeds from the BBQ will go to help defray the medical expenses for Arlene Thibeau, who is known for making quilts for area veterans.  

Thibeau’s quilting group, T Gals, has created and donated 113 quilts to local veterans to provide warmth and an expression of gratitude.

PARIS — A smorgasbord supper will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at the VFW Hall, 58 East Main St.

Cost: $8 for adults; $4 for children younger than 4.

HARRISON — The first “famous” chicken pie supper of the season at the Bolsters Mills United Methodist Church will be Saturday, May 20. Seatings will be held at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m., with a third to accomodate guests if neccessary.

Proceeds from this supper will be dedicated to providing scholarships for children wishing to go to Camp Mechuwana this summer, a United Methodist Camp in Maine.

The church hosts the chicken pie suppers on the third Saturday of the month through October. The Church is handicap accessible. Pies will be sold at the supper if available.

Reservations will be taken only on Saturday morning, the day of the supper, between 9 a.m. and noon.

Cost: $10 for adults; $5 for children younger than 12.

SABATTUS — The Harry J. Conway Post 135, American Legion, is serving a monthly community breakfast from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Sunday, May 20, at 40 Island Road.

WEST PARIS — The Finnish-American Heritage Society will hold a public buffet supper from 5 to 6 p.m.Saturday, May 20, at the Finnish-American building, 8 Maple St.

The buffet will feature international dishes and Maine favorites.

Cost: $8 for adults; $4 for children younger than 12.

WILTON — First Congregational Church will serve a public supper from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 20, in the vestry of the church.

The donations will go to help defray the cost of renovating the pipe organ.
