PORTLAND — Educate Maine announces the 2017 County Teachers of the Year:
Androscoggin County — Nesrene Griffin of the Gov. James Longley School in Lewiston.
Franklin County — Allison Warman of the Rangeley Lakes Regional School in Rangeley.
Oxford County — Janet Harriman of the Sacopee Valley High School in Hiram.
The Teacher of the Year program is meant to celebrate the thousands of outstanding professional educators in Maine schools, not to single out any individual as the best teacher in Maine. The County and State Teachers of the Year serve as examples of the profession, and advocates for quality education of Maine students.
