JAY — The Police Department will do extra patrols for impaired drivers from Memorial Day weekend through September.
The department received a grant from the 2017 Evidence-Based Impaired Driving High Visibility Enforcement through the Maine Bureau of Highway Safety. The grant is for $2,674.08, Sgt. Russell Adams said.
The town will pay officers for their work and be reimbursed by the bureau, he said.
