DEAR SUN SPOTS: I have many used cards, Christmas and others and I would like to know if there is a local organization that could use them. Last year, I sent them to St. Jude Hospital, but would prefer keeping them local if there is a need. Thank you for your help. — Pat Quinn, no town.

ANSWER: If you’re looking for somewhere local to donate used greeting cards, day cares, elementary schools, and nursing homes will often take them. You can also upcycle them into crafts at home.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Canton Park & Trails’ Annual Plant Sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 20 at the Heritage Park on Route 108 in Canton (across from Pinnacle Health & Rehab). We are looking for donations of plants and would be willing to dig plants for anyone within a 30 to 35 mile radius of Canton.
