LEWISTON — Richard Courtemanche, FIC, was awarded the 2017 J. Putnam Stevens Award at the NAIFA-Maine annual meeting and dinner at the Portland Country Club on May 10.

The award, presented annually, goes to that person who, in the opinion of the committee, has rendered outstanding service to their industry and community in the state of Maine.

Courtemanche joined Modern Woodmen of America in 1973 and has received numerous company and industry awards. He is a perennial qualifier for and a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Round Table. He serves on the board of directors for Museum L-A, is past president of the Twin City Softball League and the Industrial Ice Hockey League, is a past assistant/volunteer coach with the Bates College tennis team and he is a member of the Maine Tennis League.

He resides in Lewiston with his wife.
