WALES — Amber Raymond had an inside-the-park home run in the bottom of the sixth that brought home three runs as Winthrop defeated Oak Hill on Tuesday, 3-1.

It was one of two hits the Ramblers got off Oak Hill starter Sadie Waterman.

Waterman had a double as she tried to help her own cause. Julia Ahlberg also had a double for Oak Hill (6-3). Mahala Smith had a triple while Emma Hlister had two hits and the lone RBI for the Raiders.

Layne Audette went the distance for the Ramblers (6-3) striking out three.

Wells 8, Poland 0

POLAND — Karissa Kenyon had eight strikeouts in Wells’ 8-0 victory over Poland in a WMC contest.

Sam Bogue had a triple for the Warriors (10-1) and Sara Ring had a double. Olivia Clay also had a pair of hits.

Edward Little 12, Cony 6

AUBURN — Emmy Lashua had three doubles and four RBIs to pace Edward Little to a 12-6 victory over Cony.

Kylie Bureau had three hits and two RBIs and three runs scored. Maddie Thistlewaite had three hits and two runs scored. Chantel Ouellette had a pair of hits and a RBI for EL (9-2).

Brooklyn Belanger had a pair of hits and drove in two runs for the Rams (4-5). Cari Hopkins and Allee Cloutier had a pair of hits.

Oxford Hills 12, Brunswick 3

BRUNSWICK — Oxford Hills used the long ball Tuesday in its 12-3 victory over Brunswick.

Hannah Kenney had two-run homer in the sixth while Anna Piirainen had a solo shot in the seventh.

Kenney finished the afternnon with three RBIs. Lauren Merrill and Kenzie Kahkonen each had two doubles for the Vikings. Kahkonen also had three RBIs and Merrill finished the afternoon with three hits.

Shea Sullivan had four hits and Shelby Plourde had a pair of hits including a double for Brunswick (0-6).

Leavitt, 19, MCI 10

PITTSFIELD — Leavitt cracked 23 hits to pull away from MCI, 19-10, in a KVAC slugfest.

Emily Swan led the Hornets’ onslaught with five hits, including two doubles, and drove in four runs. Kassie Murch also knocked in four for Leavitt (7-3) while collecting three hits, including a double. MacKenzie Treadwell also had a double among her three hits and drove in three.

Shauna Morton led the Huskies (2-7) with three doubles and four runs batted in.

Baseball

Lisbon 14, Boothbay 4

BOOTHBAY — Lisbon bats were working Tuesday in a 14-4 victory over Boothbay.

Ryley Austin had a two run home run in the seventh and finished with three RBIs. Tyler Halls had three hits including two triples and two RBIs. Nick Austin had a two run double in the seventh. Cole Bolduc finished the afternoon with three hits and three RBIs. Nick Lerette had two hits and an RBI while Sean Scott finished with two hits for the Greyhounds (8-2).

Jim Babcock had three hits including two doubles and one run scored. Joe Sherburne had a hit and two RBIs scored for the Seahawks (2-6).

Edward Little 9, Cony 2

AUBURN — Jarod Norcross Plourde went the distance striking out 11 Cony batters in Edward Little’s 9-2 victory.

He also helped his own cause as he was on the back end of a back-to-back home runs with Grant Hartley having the other.

Norcross Plourde finished the game with two hits. Austin Brown also had two hits and Ian Brushwein also had two hits and led the Red Eddies (9-2) with three RBIs.

Taylor Heath had a double for Cony (1-8).

Oxford Hills 11, Brunswick 3

BRUNSWICK — Ashton Kennison cracked three extra-base hits and Troy Johnson and Kaden Cutler drove in three runs apiece to lead Oxford Hills to an 11-3 win over Brunswick.

Kennison slugged two doubles and a triple, while Kaden Cutler and Brayden Bean each had a double for the Vikings (7-2). Jonny Prue picked up the victory in his first varsity start, allowing all three Brunswick runs on eight hits in six innings, but he fanned seven and didn’t walk a batter.

Zach Grant and Brett MacMillan had two hits apiece for Brunswick (0-8).

Wells 11, Poland 3

POLAND — Cameron Cousins had four hits and two RBIs to lead Wells to an 11-3 victory over Poland.

Michael Wrigley and Andrew Skeats each had a pair of hits. Matt Tufts had a double for the Warriors (7-3).

Gavin Tibbetts had a triple for Poland (3-8) while Brady Downing and Caleb Hodgkins each had a double. Noah Salmons and Adrien Melanson each had a pair hits in the losing effort.

Girls’ lacrosse

Edward Little 8, Mt. Ararat 6

AUBURN — Kaylee Jipson and Megan Steele each had four goals to pace Edward Little to a 8-6 victory over Mt. Ararat.

Jipson also had an assist. Haley Frohlich and Sierra Green also had assists.

Mariah Vaillancourt made 15 saves for the Red Eddies (2-5).

Emily Welch had four goals to lead the Eagles (1-6) while Shannon Harty and Katheryn Hinderks tallied one goal each.

Abby Sirois had three saves in the first half for Mt. Ararat while Casi Perow stopped eight shots in the second half.
